Root Canal
Indications for Root Canal Treatment:
- Deep Decay: When tooth decay extends to the pulp chamber, causing infection or inflammation.
- Dental Infection: When a tooth becomes infected due to injury, trauma, or untreated decay.
- Pulp Damage: When the pulp tissue is damaged or dead, often resulting in severe toothache.
Symptoms That May Require a Root Canal:
- Persistent and severe tooth pain, especially when chewing or applying pressure.
- Prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold temperatures.
- Swollen, tender gums near the affected tooth.
- Discoloration (darkening) of the tooth.
- Pimple on the gums, known as a dental abscess.
